Thanks for your interest in Closrr. We welcome you to a whole new experience of Personal Networking!
You can download Closrr by searching for ‘Closrr’ in App Store or by visiting this link on your smartphone.
If you are a new user, you can register for Closrr by simply keying in
- your name – Please select a name of 3-20 characters with no special characters
- your email address – this is simply to reach you when we launch any new features. We do not share your details with anyone else.
- your phone number - Please enter your valid phone number because we would be sending you a verification code on that number
Once you key in your details, tap on START.
Please ensure that the correct country code is selected. If not, click on the country code and select your current region.
We will send you a 4-digit verification code by SMS. Enter the 4-digit verification code and tap on ‘VERIFY CODE’.
If you don’t get the code within 1 minute, click on ‘Tap to resend’. A new code will be sent you by SMS.
That’s it! You are now registered and ready to set up your own personal network for people close to you. Go on..Get Closrr!
Closrr is optimized to work best on iPhone 4S and above models and supports iOS version 8.0 and above.
With Closrr, you can create your own personal groups. These groups exist only on your phones and no one is informed that they are a part of any group on your phone. You have total control on who is part of your personal groups.
To add a group, go to the Groups Tab and either tap on “CREATE A GROUP” button or the + button on the top right corner of your screen.
Select the contacts that you would like to group in the particular group and tap on ‘DONE’.
As Closrr is meant as a platform for your close contacts, you can assign up to 6 people in each group. However, you are free to create as many groups as you want.
Once you have added your favourite contacts to your group, you can tap on the contact name to assign shortcuts to that particular contact.
You can select the phone number/email and assign your preferred shortcut to reach the contact. Select any one shortcut as your favourite (starred) shortcut to reach the contact in just one tap.
You can assign as many shortcuts as you like to each contact. However, You can only select one favourite shortcut per contact.
You can invoke the shortcut either from the Groups Tab or the Shortcut tab.
The three dots on the contact shows that you have assigned more than 1 shortcut to the contact. If you assign only 1 shortcut, that icon will be visible next to your contact name.
To use the shortcut, tap on the assigned shortcut on the right side of your screen. If you have assigned only 1 shortcut, it will be invoked immediately. If you have assigned multiple shortcuts, it will show you the options to invoke.
Alternatively, you can swipe left to right to invoke your favourite shortcut.
You can start a chat conversation with any contact on your phone who is also on Closrr. Go to the Conversation tab and click on the ’+’ button on the top right corner of your screen to start a conversation. This will pull up your list of contacts and you can select the contact with whom you want to chat. If the selected contact is not on Closrr, you can send a free invite to the contact to join Closrr.
If you do not see a contact in the list, please check if the number is in the proper format.
- International numbers: When adding an international number in your phone book, please start with plus sign (+) followed by the country code. For example, if your contact is in Singapore, the number would be saved as +65 12345678 (65 is the country code for Singapore).
- Local numbers: You can add a local phone number without the country code.
As Closrr is a communication platform, you do need to give access to your contacts to Closrr in order to use Closrr effectively. Closrr does not store your contacts on our servers. We only access those contact that you would like to reach through Closrr Groups, Shortcuts, Conversations or Panic.
All your favourite contacts need not be on Closrr for you to get closer to them. You can group and add shortcuts (Call, text, whatsapp, facetime, email or send location) to your favourite contacts whether they are on Closrr or not.
However, you would only be able to chat on Closrr with those contacts who are also Closrr users.
Closrr uses your phone’s internet connection (Wi-fi, 3G or 4G) as available to send and receive Closrr chat messages or media. You will be charged by your carrier for the data usage as per your plan. Closrr does not charge you for sending and receiving chat messages/media on Closrr.
Generally, this may happen if you have a bad internet connection.
If that is not the case, you may check the following:
- Is the contact you are trying to chat with on Closrr? You can only chat with contacts who have an account with Closrr.
- Is your status showing you online? This can be checked on your Profile Tab under your name. If it shows you offline, remove the app from memory and restart the application. If the status is still offline, it could be related to a network error.
- The number you are trying to chat with is incorrect. Please check the phone number in your phone book.
Your Closrr account can only be used with one number on one device. If you have a dual SIM phone, you still must choose one number to verify with Closrr on one device.
If you use the same number to register from a different device, please note that your account would be removed from your previous device and you will lose all the Closrr related data stored on that device.
It is advised to not repeatedly switch between different devices and numbers. This may cause your account to be blocked from re-verifying.
As of now, your chat history is not backed up automatically.. If you change your device you will lose the chat history from your old device. We advise you to email your chat conversations to your email address before deleting your account from a device.
You can email your conversation by clicking on the contact name on your chat screen and tapping on ‘Email all conversations’.
Panic feature on Closrr allows you to reach help if you are ever caught in an emergency situation.
You can select an emergency contact on your Profile tab under ‘Panic Mode Settings’. Switching your location settings to ‘on’ will allow you to reach the nearest emergency service in your area wherever you are in the world.
Whenever you sense any danger, you can tap on the icon on the top left of your screen and switch it to ‘On’. Once your Panic mode is switched on, you can reach:
- Emergency contact: by shaking your phone (the contact will also receive your location by SMS)
- Police: by tapping and holding the button for 2 seconds
- Ambulance: by swiping the button from left to right

Through Closrr, you are able to reach the emergency contacts in the country selected by you. We have no control over the availability or response time or actions by the Emergency Authorities.
Every effort is made to keep the application up and running smoothly. However, Rappier Pte Ltd takes no responsibility for, and will not be liable for, the application being temporarily unavailable due to technical issues beyond our control.
With ‘Remind me later’ you can set a reminder against a particular chat text message.
Tap and hold on a text message and click on the stopwatch icon. Select the time when you would like to be reminded. A reminder will be sent to you at the selected time.
Currently, you can only send one-to-one chat messages on Closrr. We are working on an exciting new way to communicate with groups of contacts. This feature will be updated very soon.
